ABOUT
Hello, I'm Falco, a software developer from the Netherlands. Growing up playing video games in the 90's and 00's sparked an early fascination with computers and the rise of the internet.
After studying Psychology and earning my degree at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, I eventually found my way into programming through a coding bootcamp, which led to my first developer role at IBM. I enjoy working across the stack, though my current focus is on backend development.
I regularly take part in hackathons as a way to explore new technologies, and over the past few years I’ve participated in around 15 events and won several prizes, both online and in person.
I'm interested in systems that can improve mental health, public goods and education.
Since 2022 I've been based in Thailand where I live with my wife and help run a meditation center. In my free time I enjoy reading, eating massaman curry, listening to music and occasionally dreaming about developing my own game.

PROJECTS
Temporary Anonymous Zone (TAZ) is a mobile application built for attendees of Devcon VI in Bogotá, Colombia. It enables anonymous interaction using zero-knowledge proofs while ensuring all users belong to the same group. Participants could share feedback, ask questions, and collaborate on artworks without revealing their identity.
The Zuzalu app is a web platform developed for the original Zuzalu pop-up city in Luštica Bay, Montenegro. It uses zero-knowledge proof–based passports for authentication, allowing participants to coordinate activities, manage schedules, and interact within the community.
Hypertui is a terminal-based tool for exploring on-chain data through a keyboard-driven interface. It queries data from Ethereum and other EVM-compatible chains and displays results in a dashboard within the terminal. This enables fast, lightweight analysis of blockchain activity directly from the command line.
Aranya is a concept learning platform on the Flare blockchain that issues on-chain credentials for learners and teachers as trees that grow with course milestones. It connects off-chain learning activity with on-chain records to track progress and achievements. This creates a transparent and evolving representation of participation and accomplishment.
CryptoChess is a concept app on the Flare blockchain that allows players to compete for crypto prizes through tournaments hosted on Chess.com. It connects off-chain tournament data with on-chain smart contracts, verifying participants, tournament status, and winners. This enables trustless competition based on real-world gameplay.
